Asus
Asus is a Chinese company that those who love to build computers from various components will most certainly be familiar with. Their claim to fame is the motherboard as well as entire computer cases and systems. Some techies have gone so far as to forsake other manufacturers in favor of Asus components. Quite possibly the flagship for the Asus PDA line is the A730. Its predecessor, the A620, first premiered in the year 2003 and received enthusiastic reviews by those computer enthusiasts who already knew the name Asus. Soon they were able to convince those that would not normally have checked out Asus and they, too, became quite enamored with the graphics and speed with which the applications performed any task presented to the Asus PDA computer software. Asus did not rest on its laurels, however, and coming out with newer and more advanced models soon endeared the company to the business owners and executives who appreciated the Bluetooth capabilities that even the more advanced discount Asus PDAs offered to the consumer. The company was also fast in putting together a vast array of accessories for the customer who wanted a bit more out of the PDA experience. |

There is, for example, the Asus PDA car mount which has makes life a lot easier for the driver. PDA comparisons between Asus and Axim also showed that the Asus PDA software continuously propelled this little gadget over the top and there is precious little that consumers can say that would be detrimental to the company’s PDA. As machines go, this PDA not only seems to have it all, but if you consider how rarely anyone complains about the machine, you cannot help but acknowledge that somebody may well have invented the perfect PDA at last!
If you are still not quite convinced, consider the fact that the modest A730 runs about 624 MHz, leaving the comparable models of Dell and even HP in the dust. Add to this the fact that you will be looking at a screen displaying 640 x 480 pixels – as opposed to the standard 240 x 320 which is the norm at this point in time, and you can easily discern why so many customers are drawn to the store displays that show the colorful icons and other screen content. Eyestrain is virtually nonexistent for even the most avid users, and the ability to manipulate the screen display adds to the allure of the display. |
