Dell Axim X3i
To expand the target market, Dell Company released series of Axim X3 with different models and each of them has distinctive features. One of the models is Dell Axim X3i PDA that has a rectangular shape with 3.0 inches wide and 4.6 inches long. It is also pretty thin, only 0.6 inches, making it possible to put it in your pocket. The Dell Axim PDA X3i aluminum cases are of aircraft quality.

This Dell Axim X3i handheld PDA has a large screen size, 3.5 inches diagonally and 16-bit color screen. The pixel resolution is 240 x 320. This Dell Axim X3i works at its best screen performance mainly indoor. It also works properly outdoor but sometimes you will have difficulties in reading your Pocket PC under direct sunlight.

For its best performance, the Dell Axim X3i uses Windows Mobile 2003 and the processor of 400 MHz Intel Xscale. This Pocket PC has 64 MB of RAM and also a 35 MB file store.

On the cheap Dell Axim X3i PDA, you will find 7 buttons in total. On the top center, you will see the power button. When you recharge the Pocket PC, the power button will show an orange glow to indicate that it is being recharged. A green glow will appear when it is fully charged. Under the screen, there are four buttons that function as shortcuts. Those buttons will lead you to Calendar, Contacts, Inbox, and Today. Just like other PDA’s, you can modify the Dell Axim X3i PDA to run your favorite applications. Moreover, on the left side of the discounted Dell Axim X31 PDA, you will see the voice recorder button. To record something, the speaker must use the microphone that is located above the screen.

This Pocket PC is equipped with a built-in WiFi transceiver which button is located on the opposite of the voice recorder button. On the top of this Dell Axim X3i, you will see the slot for the Secure Digital (SD) and Multimedia Cards (MMC), which are memory cards to store your files. Very close to the card slot, you can find the infrared port. With this, you can exchange files with other PDA users.

The Dell Axim X3i is also suitable for multimedia and entertainment use. With Windows Media Player for Pocket PC, you will have the freedom to play your videos and MP3 files. On the left side of Axim X3i PDA, you will find a headphone jack to put your headphones, so you can listen to your files as loud as you want.

The Dell Axim X3i PDA’s battery life does not apparently hold so many hours. If you are an intensive user of a PDA, you need to remember to recharge this Dell Axim X3i every night since the battery only lasts about 3 hours. Or you can also purchase another battery with more power to extend the battery life.
